After "Sargberg" I'm going to publish anonther track online which is called "The Elder Days Before The Fall" and which is very strong influenced by summoning's music.

Yeah... this is the new Sunn 0)))-record.
I've never been much of a fan of their past-works, but for some reason most of the material on this new record work just splendid.
Haunting, contemplative, experimental... Without getting too far out there. However there's a cheap doom-riff in one of the songs which feel malplaced and almost destroy the overall nature of the work, but otherwise I think this is almost flawless.

Anyone into this sort of drone-doom material?

Yeah... Everything from the 70's efforts which still have one foot in blues/prog to the speed/thrash hybrids.

Do you like it? I sure do, and this is the genre of metal that I've endorsed myself in the most during the last two years or so.

I'm sure many of you have come across Prozak's ANUS website in your pursuit of metal knowledge, since they have a rather extensive database of laughable, pseudo-intellectual black and death metal reviews laden with needlessly pretentious vocabulary. An example, taken from the review for Emperor's "In the Nightside Eclipse":

"The conception of epic structural signatures to be deconstructed over a landscape of song, balanced with the chaos of sprawling...

bands i found plays this style :
Darkwoods My Betrothed
Morgul (a few songs)
Enslaved (first album Hordanes Land after that they fucked it up )
ashen light ( first album 1999 - Pesn' Velesa and same here fucked up after)

its just hard to find this stuff no matter how hard i look

So Infernus' version of Gorgoroth (the only one worth following since imo ever since King wrote the songs and Gaahl did vocals the band has gone to shit) has recruited two new members! Pest (vocals on Under The Sign Of Hell) and Tormentor (guitar on Antichrist). A sense a revival of the classic spirit of the first three Gorgoroth albums!

Anyone else like these guys, I picked up all the full lengths this summer and this is probably my favorite black metal band at the moment. Like Darkthrone, they don't stray from the formula, but that's because what they do is already fucking awesome.

Involves everything between the first two Bathory albums to Mercyful Fate as far as I'm concerned, and then Bathory created and perfected the black metal formula with Under the Sign of the Black Mark and the genre itself was not only born nor in infancy, but brought to greater heights.
