Actually I have been quite busy on my masterdissertation on Roman/Germanic culture and the syncretism between the two. A fascinating subject and I must say that I find the whole Roman era quite intrigueing, not that it have anything to do with anarchy but still. Well that sparks a whole new topic. Music strikes whatever You want it to. Some music is used for specific purposes, some music does spark strong emotions, sometimes subconsciously. But the type of reaction that's being brought up isn't that kind of reaction. Take Classical or Jazz, mostly or fully instrumental depending on composer, well a person can take out of the music something damaging, such as feeling despair to a Chopin Nocturne, or a feeling of heroism and pride from something like Wagner opera.
