what sites/programs are at the moment the best to use to download music? I used to have soulseek and I know www.forevermetal.net but it has been a long time
since I had to find music myself. Any suggestions?
and can someone give me a short introduction to last fm? All I know is that it scans your files and shows what you listened. But whats up with the radios, you have to pay for that right? And can you listen to other songs online, only if you have them yourself? Other features I missed?

As for downloading, I just go to blogger.search.com and search the album I want and usually there's a blog that has a rapidsahre/mediafire/megaupload link. |

ok thanks putrid. when you start an account you got 30 songs for free, and after you used them up you cant listen to personal radio unless you pay 3€ / month?
Without that you cant listen to anything online anymore? |

I'm not sure how their accounts are now but back when I used their radio you could listen to it as much as you wanted to without paying. =/

Yeah I agree, I've only been on lastfm for a bit but it doesn't seem all that amazing. I mean I can find more music from a band on Youtube or Myspace.
Half the bands I looked up don't even have tracks. : \

I use it to keep track of my listening habbits and to make me pay attention to artists I know deserve it over listening to the same old stuff over and over.

The bad thing about youtube is that tracks/songs are taken down or muted(typically by record labels).
I do not understand this, it's free advertising for their product. WTF? Don't they realize that people want to listen to songs first before spending their money in this economy?

in my tower spinner constantly reminds me that I do things against the grain these days. Always have. Always will.

I dont usually encounter the videos being taken down or anything like that. I don't necessarily listen to albums put out on labels that would do that
though. People are going to steal music no matter what you do unless the record company makes it absolutely impossible to steal. I was just stating though in
that comment that even youtube seems to be better than lastfm in the availability of tracks, Although Sventevith that's a good idea I didn't thinkof,
but then it goes back to how many songs I would listen to on it that I can actually find. : \

particularly happy about.
