Ok, I've finished reading The Silmarillion not long ago, and I've been quiet interested in Ungoliant even if there is not that much written about her.
I was wondering if there is other writtings in which I could get more informations about her, for example what did she do after fleeing in the mountains of
Ered Gorgoroth, are there any writtings about her actions there, or where did she come from, had she always lived in Avathar before she killed the two trees? I
find her very mysterious so if you know any books in which there are some informations, just tell me, thank you!

In the same Silmarillion on The Flight of the Noldor is stated that "went whither she would into the forgotten south of the world" shortly before the
First Age
and "some have said that she ended long ago, when in her uttermost famine she devoured herself at last". There are also some writtings by Tolkien about Earendil's voyages, in which he slew Ungoliant in the South. On Morgoth's Ring you can find further information too. Melkor states that Ungoliant abandoned him, so she may have been a Maiar of Melkor before his bad deeds.

Oh I think I get it now, I did not understand when I first read Putrid Wind post, your 'Is actually a regular on these forums.' was refering to the
