Drudkh released the new album 'Microcosmos', let's see how it comes.

I do have to agree with Peste Noires new album, I am fully enjoying it, that's one that's a constant on my mp3 player.

New Wolves in the Throne Room is quite excellent
Spears agleam in the dying sun. The blood is spilt, the battle's won. From the Ice Throne the god-king shall rule, when nine stars kiss the moon o'er
Ultima Thule.

I recently discovered a band called Nachtreich, their style it's very particular, so it's hard to describe or make a comparison, sort of what happens
with Summoning, but on a basic line you could say that is some atmospheric neoclassical music (violin, viola and piano) mixed with some black metal parts (only
distorted guitar and battery, no vocals). But anyway, their 2009's demo is GREAT! So far I consider it this year's best album.
I think their myspace was simply /nachtreich , you guys should check it out. By the way, new Wolfchant's dissapointed me, the mixing is awful and I liked just a few songs from the album, IMO it's a 5/10 :c Oh, and Manowar's EP simply SUCKS, I'm a big fan of them, but this is pure shit, there's not a single good song on the whole disc, it's all über generic (yeah I know, like if that was something new on Manowar) and the song Father is cheesier than, than... it so goddamn cheesy I can't even make a clever comment about it, fuck. Ahhh, can't wait for Immortal to release their new album!

I'm pretty much thrilled about the new Amestigon album too, listening to the two tracks on myspace...
http://www.myspace.com/amestigon Only disappointment is that they're sounding more "norwegian" than ever, especialy those with a more experimental edge. It's not for nothing they got "Joyless" on their friend-broadcast, I guess. But still, it's not that major a flaw, because the music is fucking great on it's own accord, no matter what it's deveriative of! But it seems to be a more contemplative piece of art than I first would've guessed. Also: Silenius doing deep, dark growls toward the end of "Daymares, Ketamine & Misanthropy"? Holy fuck! First time I've ever noticed him doing something like that... There's no insane shrieks like in the past though, atleast not on those two tunes. I guess it wouldn't fit the music that well though, haha. |

Goatwhore's new album "Carving Out The Eyes Of God" is quite good. In fact, it's very good. Considering the scrubby garbage they released
before this one(A Haunting Curse), I'd say they're back in their groove. Sounds more like Blackened Crust than Black Metal to me. Their sound dynamic
and creative thought process is far more original and explored in this one. Goatwhore even incorporates the odd solo here and there. I wonder what took them so
long.
I saw this band with Kreator, Vader, Nile and Amon Amarth. Goatwhore opened and they did the best set of the show. That's what turned me on to them in the first place. Check it out.
