Hey guys! I've been listening to you guys since the Stronghold album. I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota USA and I swear that I am the only one living around here who listens to you guys. Everyone that I've run into has never heard of the band in their life, even so called metal heads. Well, I do live in America so the music scene, especially the metal one, is absolute @#%$. We listen to Linkin' Park and crap like that, who you may have never heard of either. I listen mainly to the European scene now, Nile, Dimmu Borgir, Finntroll and the like. I introduce you guys to everybody that I meet and you guys are by far my favorite band right now. Protector you are a @#%$ musical genius, plain and simple. You are an incredible composer, which in my opinion is what makes a musician. I play guitar (beginner) and keyboards (beginner) and I sing and I write. I have always had the goal of putting something together, but it hasn't happened yet. Please make more of the shirts and hooded sweatshirts, especially of the Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame. In XL. Thanks.

...and i swear this is the first time I read an american dude saying that Linkin'Park and other american music is crap lol, ...and I agree even if I don't really think Linkin'Park is metal...
Indeed Finntroll, Ensiferum, Bathory, Moonsorrow, Haggard... and ofcourse Summoning are way much better than..Slipknot or so! I share your thing that no one of my buddies know Summoning here either, they use to listen to rap and rap mixed with rock like "music"...wtf. The reason is obviously that Summoning isn't very "commercial" but this still a good thing because Protector and Silenius do music because they like to do it and not for gain fame and money and this is a foundamental factor. Keep up the good work! Hail Summoning! |

They're elves, hailing from one of the moons of Jupiter, that's why they're so mysterious.

yes evilbone is right, its not really our decision which t-shirts are released. we are just the musicians making music and booklet artwork, and napalm does the rest. better ask napalm records about things like that. the more people ask for special products the higher the chance that think about it.

Mighty hails to Summoning, possibly some of the greatest music on the earthen realm.
I must praise the new cd Oathbound, It has surpassed my expectations and I can really hear many newer details of the music its just becoming stronger and stronger. I very much cherish the works of Summoning, and Oathbound is one of the greatest releases of 2006. I am really looking to the future for more art by Summoning!

thanks for all the compliments. i am sorry that the last time i was not very active in the forum but i simply was very busy with my other project "ice
ages". no i will be more active.
anyway soon i start working on the new summoning. silenius will not be ready so son as he is working on "kreuzweg ost" but as i already mentioned in another topic, i think that can have some good sides as well. finally after many years i start summoning songs; maybe there will be again total pure protector songs like in the older days (all those medieval shalm styled ones for example, or the songs "over old hills" where songs like that). for now i can only says that i will work only with software synths. i already unplugged my hardware synth and from now on i will be much more free in sound generation as i can now finally use any sound i hear for summoning, not only the built in sounds of the past. |

Ah... So the Wintersun album will finally be released? :P (Not that I listen to them...)
And I'm also anticipating the new Nazgûl, but I've never been a fan of Hollenthon, they're not bad but not to my taste. |

Hollenthon are theifs, they steal old compositions and put their guitars over them.

Hm, good news that Protector is back on Summoning soon...cuz think it's the only metal band today (with Moonspell) which can't disappoint me
And one advice for Protector hehehe...just don't rush with it, it's not important how time it will take, but to be a good music

Well I'm not into Metal anymore but a new Summoning CD would be one of the only Metal-related things I would still buy

I think it's one of the best ways to start the year, knowing that Summoning is working on a new cd
