Yeah I have that Dark Angel album too^^
And I have the complete Death discography... I enjoyed them a lot about 3 years ago nad I still think that they were not too bad. |

They were one of the first death metal I listened to but for some reason as of the past few years I really haven't listened to much of them at all.

Somehow the only deathmetal I ever listens to regulary is Cannibal Corpse, not really sure why but I find the band hillarious in a way. They are so utterly goofy in their lyrical writings that you cant take them serious

LMAO Thankfully I never knew anyone growing up that was into Cannibal Corpse. Even my friends with really bad taste in metal avoided them. ------------------------------------------

I can sadly say that I saw them live a few years ago and I looked at the guy I went with and said "Wow, this is a really long song" and his reply was.... "That was 5 songs."

Cannibal Corpse was a ruling band in my teenage days...I remember what a blow for censorship had their covers, so their CDs were edited in black package with original cover in booklet inlay, so it was kind off trying forbidden fruit and it's always interesting hehehe
Nowadays I like to hear some songs from Chris Burnes era, but very rarely... |

I'm listening to Absu's first full length now... And it struck my ears as death metal to begin with.
Then I read some review of the album, and this reviewer keep on stressing that the music is black with death/thrash influences? I would say it's death with thrash/black influences. Anyone else with greater knowledge/experience of Absu which got a bit clearer opinion on this? |

Plenty of reviewers are pretty full of @#%$ if you ask me, not that into Absu but id agree with you from what ive heard.
