Or why not Cannabis Corpse?

Aren't they just humor? No death? >D
Edit: No offense to anyone that likes then, just poking fun.

Ok I totally thought that said cannibal. And on that note, E. and I were in a record store here that I haven't been to in years, and they had a vinyl there
from Cannibis Corpse. Odd coincidence.

I'm giving this thread a bump because there's been a lot of good death metal coming out recently and I must share the br00tality.
Coffins (JAP) - Further proof that Japanese metal>your mom. My absolute favorite kind of death metal; mid-paced, simple, and so fucking hard the thought of eating babies becomes gradually less offensive as you listen. This song in particular makes me want to go oustide and just starting punching people. |

Oooo.. We always forget about Coffins. They're playing soon arent they?

They went through here a little while ago. HOWEVER, check out the acts that are going to be at Maryland Death Fest this year:

I'd go to check out D666, Hail of Bullets, Bolt Thrower, Marduk, Immolation, Mayhem(just to say I've seen them) and the grand masters of Grindcore,
Napalm Death.
Why can't they have West Coast version of that gig? :madasfokk:

You're from the west coast? Whereabouts? Putrid Wind and I are both from Northern California. I now reside in New Jersey, which officially makes me the
most mellow person in the state.
I'm not a huge Marduk fan, but from what I understand they play an amazing live show. As long as they play stuff from the first two albums and maybe a little of Panzer Division Marduk, I'll be a happy camper. A few people have told me their newest album is amazing, I haven't gotten around to it yet. Mayhem was utter shit when I saw them in San Francisco, but mostly because Maniac was being a pussy and wouldn't come onstage, so Blasphemer ended up doing the vocals. Hellhammer was a total rockstar shitbag after the show, and wouldn't sign any autographs. Still...their current incarnation is pretty killer, and it'll be awesome to finally see Atilla in the flesh. We should totally all meet in Baltimore. BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL, SUMMONING BOARD MEMBERS UNITE! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

maudlin of the Well (US) - Though they were influenced by death metal, IMO this band is beyond classification. Fucking amazing music, the musicianship
is off the charts without devolving into Children of Bodom-ish wankery. I saw them at Metalfest 10 years ago and there were like 20 people in the
crowd...everyone else had run off to see Opeth. Philistines.

I'm glad they're putting another album out. Makes me all fuzzy inside.

@ MB: I lived most of my life in Moreno Valley(SoCal.). I've lived in Reno the last 10 years though. I catch most of my live shows in Frisco and Sac.
nowadays. 3 hour drives tend to suck with gas prices the way they are.

Cool, Sacramento is actually my hometown. Also, *boo hiss* at calling SF "Frisco". That's "The City" to you. :P
I miss going to Reno in the summer. I've ever been unlucky in life, but I've got a golden touch when it comes to gambling. Three Californians on the board, now. This pleases me. |

Cool. Hit me up, should you feel so compelled. I'll show ya around. Are you staying at a Casino Hotel? The Peppermill just renovated and made some very
nice additions. I would recommend trying that first, if you do stay in a casino.
If nothing else, hit the Farmer's Market in Sparks by John Ascuaga's Nugget. Best fruit you'll ever eat(they bring it from Cali). Vorph(from Samael) called San Francisco "Frisco" when I saw him their at The Pound(RIP) a few years back. I guess it stuck. :P
