hey nice to see you here. I like your nightshade forest cover very much. But this is your first demo? I would have thought Avathar got plenty of albums out already, judging the quality of the songs.

They`ve released at least two demos and full length albums before this one, hopefully with a proper record deal soon.

Have you ever heard of a band named Brynjard - they used your rotting horse cover on their cd and said it's their own. Anyway, I like your music very good, nice tolkien music.
 If it comes to lawsuits you didn't hear this from me...

hhhmmm interesting....i think i will have to contact that guy because the summoning cover wasnt the only material that he has released in his own name...there were other songs too.
i wonder what he has to say for hinself

Personally, I think it's sad that he resorts to ripping off bands in his own name (i think you're not the only band he ripped off). Why can't people just be content listening to the music they like instead of cloning it and ripping it off?

A new promo pic added to the website. Avathar is also worked hard on new material so we will try to get the recordings of a full album started in the coming winter.

The whole demo "Beyond the spheres of a mortal world" can now be downloaded at www.avathar-band.com/music
We are still working on new material and making gigs as much as we can.We will also be warming the stage for Bal sagoth and battlelore in helsinkis Nosturi (one of the biggest venues in finland) so intresting things are to be expected. |

Forlorn
Year 2009 is taking form and so are we. Avathar went through a few line-up changes, as Emerwen handed over the synth department exclusively in Scatha's grasp. Despite of the departure, Emerwen will still play a role in the band, behind the scenes. In addition, Finduilas has been replaced by a new female vocalist because she decided to concentrate on her studies. Her successor obeys the name Miriel. We are very confident in her abilities and feel that her voice is a fresh breath of wind in the classic Avathar sound. A new Avathar manifestation, called Forlorn, is also finally conjured and it marks the first release with Miriel on vocals. It is for sure the most ambitious and epic outing so far. It also includes one song sing in our native language called Kadotettu. Most likely the first and the last. The demo can be ordered via avatharband@gmail.com or you can preview it on this site. |
