Funny, I thought I`ll enter here and write some words about "Ballade cuntre lo Anemi Francor" but it seems it has been done.
I still can`t believe a band can feel black metal the way I do.
After the first 20 listens my favourite song was "Soleils couchants". In another thread related to the music of an old game Lord C. said something like "this is how BM be should be, sad". That would be "Soleils", it`s melancholy is heartbreaking. Not in a nice romantic fashion but fever-ish, tormenting, a feeling of loss heavy as the weight of grey clouds on your shoulder. Yet still a feeling with it`s beauty beyond the pain.
Now I`m listening more an more to "La Mesniee Mordrissoire". The melacholy is there and also a lot of venom, hatred, fury, extreme feelings. The part that sounds almost like "sieg heil"(on purpose, without any doubt) and the insane chants after... followed by sadness.
"Balade", "Rance Black Metal de France", "A la Mortaille!" will be probably the next songs to which I`ll listen 20 times in a row.
